The Market Street Youth Center is located at the intersection of 23rd and North Market Street in the City of Wilmington. The center is open every weekday afternoon
Programs
In partnership with Professional Counseling Services, the kids at the Market St. Center recently concluded a 10-week sexual abstinence course. Several of the young people made commitments to waiting for marriage for sex.
In partnership with the United States Tennis Association and the Rodney Street Tennis and Tutoring Program, each of the kids at the youth center have had the opportunitiy to receive a free tennis racquet and free tennis lessons. This weekly program runs throughout the summer.
Senator Carper Visits the Center
United States Senator Tom Carper stopped by the youth center one afternoon to take a tour and meet the kids. He also took the time to teach a Bible study and speak to the student leadership group. Click here for more information.
